"WIN 2 HARLEYS" GIVEAWAY
OFFICIAL CONTEST RULES
NO PURCHASE NECESSARY TO ENTER OR TO WIN.
1. WHO MAY PARTICIPATE. Subject to the additional restrictions below, 93.3 WFLS & 96.9 WWUZ – “WIN 2 HARLEY’S” Contest (the "Contest") is open to legal residents of the State of Virginia, State of Maryland and District of Columbia residents who are 18 years of age or older at the time of entry, are legal U.S. residents, and who possess a valid government-issued photo identification. Current employees or agents of The Star Radio Group d/b/a WFLS-FM, WWUZ-FM, WWVB-FM and WYSK.com ("Star Radio Group" or "Sponsor") and Waugh Enterprises Harley-Davidson of Orange County, Virginia ("HD"), and each of their respective parent, subsidiary, or affiliated companies, and advertising and promotional agencies, and the immediate family members of, and any persons domiciled with, any such employees, are not eligible to enter or to win. Persons who have won another contest or promotion of any kind from Star Radio Group, or whose immediate family members have won another contest or promotion of any kind from Star Radio Group, within thirty (30) calendar days before the Contest start date also are ineligible. The term "immediate family members" includes spouses, parents, grandparents, siblings, children, and grandchildren. Limit one (1) qualify ticket per person.
2. HOW TO QUALIFY. Four ways to qualify for a numbered ticket to the giveaway party on Saturday, June 14, 2008 starting approximately at 1:00PM (E.S.T.). First way to qualify…listen to 93.3 WFLS and 96.9 WWUZ each weekday morning at approximately 7:20AM, starting Monday, May 12, 2008, and hear the hours that the Harley’s will be fired up. When you hear the Harley fired up*, be the 9th caller at either 540-373-5670 or 888-735-9393 for WFLS or 540-735-0969 or 877-900-9690 for WWUZ and win a ticket that qualifies you to win the grand prize. Second way to qualify…visit Waugh Enterprises Harley-Davidson of Orange County and register to win starting Saturday, May 10, 2008 at 10AM. Five (5) names will be drawn each Friday, starting on Friday, May 16th thru the end of the contest. Third way to qualify…join 93.3 WFLS and 96.9 WWUZ on Saturday, May 10th from 10AM-12N and Saturday, June 14, 2008 from 1:00PM-2:45PM at the Waugh Enterprises Harley-Davidson, ten (10) qualifiers will be drawn to participate in the Contest on each day. Fourth way to qualify…each weekday morning, during the contest, both WFLS and WWUZ will select a member from their database. The name will be announced at approximately 9:00AM and that person will have 10 minutes to call back to claim their qualifying ticket. A total of approximately, two hundred (200) qualifiers will have a chance at winning the Contest. All qualifiers MUST be checked in by 2:30PM (E.S.T.) on Saturday, June 14, 2008 at Waugh Enterprises Harley-Davidson at the Sponsors tent. The contestant that qualified is the only person that can participate in the contest; a contestant cannot substitute a relative or friend to stand in for them.
* The Harley being fired up must be the official station sounder of the Harley starting. The sound of any motorcycle starting contained in any other commercial advertisement or song does not qualify.
The winner of the 2007 “His & Her Harley” contest that was conducted by Sponsor is not eligible to win this contest.
3. HUMAN BINGO. The two hundred (200) qualifiers will be worked down to ten (10) by randomly calling tickets numbers to play a game of ‘Human Bingo’ on Saturday, June 14, 2008 starting at approximately 3:00PM (E.S.T.). All qualifying tickets will be number 0001-200. Each qualifier that is randomly drawn will select an unmarked envelope and inside the envelope will be a number that will correspond to a number of the bingo board. Human Bingo will continue until a ‘Bingo’ has been reached. In the event a double ‘Bingo’ is reached, a representative from Waugh Enterprises Harley-Davidson will pick from two envelopes, one will have the word ‘Highest’ written and the other will have the word ‘Lowest’. If the ‘Highest’ is selected then the five (5) highest numbers in the double Bingo will advance to the final round; if the ‘Lowest’ is selected then the five (5) lowest numbers in the double Bingo will advance to the final round. After two ‘Bingos’ have been reached, the ten contestants will advance to the final round.
4. HARLEY GIVEAWAY (FINAL ROUND). After Human Bingo is played, Sponsor will conduct a random drawing of the top ten contestants. First contestant key that starts the bike is the winner of the contest. The remaining keys will be taken away and will not be used. If a contestant key does not work, the key will be taken away and the Contest is over for that contestant.
5. TIMELINE FOR CONTEST. Contest starts on Saturday, May 10, 2008 at 10:00AM (E.S.T.) and runs until approximately 4:00PM (E.S.T.) on Saturday, June 14, 2008.
6. PRIZES. Grand Prize. A pair of custom painted, Harley’s – 2007 Harley-Davidson “XL 1200C Sportster 1200 Custom”. Bikes are valued at approximately, $28,000. Winner will be responsible for payment of all tax, tag and title fees and for transporting the prize from Waugh Enterprises Harley-Davidson of Orange County. Winner will also be responsible for Federal Income Tax on prize value. Other Prizes. TBA
7. RESERVATION OF RIGHTS. Except where prohibited, participation in the Contest constitutes each qualifier’s consent to the use of his or her name, biographical information, voice and/or likeness by Sponsor and/or Harley-Davidson in any media, including without limitation the Internet, for any commercial or promotional purpose, without limitation or further compensation. Prizes not won and claimed by eligible winners in accordance with these Official Rules will not be awarded and will remain the property of Sponsor and/or Harley-Davidson. By participating, qualifiers agree to be bound by these Official Rules and the decisions of Sponsor and the Contest administrators and judges. Sponsor reserves the right to disqualify persons found tampering with or otherwise abusing any aspect of this Contest as solely determined by Sponsor. In the event the Contest is compromised by tampering or other causes beyond the reasonable control of Sponsor which corrupts or impairs the administration, security, fairness or proper operation of the Contest, Sponsor reserves the right in its sole discretion to suspend, modify or terminate the Contest.
8. DISCLAIMERS. By entering, participants acknowledge and agree that Sponsor, Harley-Davidson, and their respective parents, subsidiaries, affiliates, officers, employees and agents (collectively, the "Contest Entities") will not be liable for losses or injuries of any kind resulting from acceptance/possession/use and/or misuse of prize(s), travel to and from any prize-related activity, participation in the Contest, printing, mailing or distribution errors that are not in compliance with these Official Rules.
9. CONSTRUCTION. The invalidity or unenforceability of any provision of these Official Rules shall not affect the validity or enforceability of any other provision. In the event that any such provision is determined to be invalid or otherwise unenforceable, these rules shall be construed in accordance with their terms as if the invalid or unenforceable provision was not contained therein.
10. SPONSOR. The Star Radio Group "WIN 2 HARLEY’S" Contest is sponsored by The Star Radio Group d/b/a WFLS-FM, WWUZ-FM, WWVB-FM AND WYSK.com ("Star Radio Group" or "Sponsor"). The decisions of Sponsor and the Contest administrators and judges regarding the selection of winners, the interpretation of these Official Rules and all other aspects of the Contest shall be final and binding in all respects. Sponsor will not be responsible for typographical, printing or other inadvertent errors in these Official Rules or in other materials relating to the Contest. Copies of these Official Rules are available at The Star Radio Group offices located at The Free-Lance Star Newspaper at 616 Amelia Street, Fredericksburg, Virginia 22401, from 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM (EDT) Monday through Friday, and also are available online at www.wfls.com and www.classicrock969.com. Official Rules will also be posted at each participating Waugh Enterprises Harley-Davidson during the entire contest.
